Columbus 2026: Operational Briefing
The Young Democrats of Georgia will gather for our annual convention at the Columbus Convention & Trade Center for a weekend of training, networking, party business, and fellowship.
Required Pre-Convention Bylaws Committee Meeting
Meeting to review credentialing procedures, voting, convention operations, and answer final questions. (Please limit attendance to up to three (3) representatives per chapter.)
Important Registration Notice:
All attendees must register in advance to receive voting credentials. On-site registration will be available, but on-site registrants will not receive voting credentials.
Select Your Pass
Choose the registration tier that fits your delegation status. All registrations include breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
YDG Member / Student
Discounted rate for active members and students. Includes admission to all convention sessions, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, official materials, and social events.
General Admission
Pass to attend the convention, participate in workshops, and attend scheduled meetings. Intended for supporters over 40, candidates, and Party leadership. (Does not carry delegate voting rights.)

Delegation & Chapter Rechartering
Delegation Chair
Each chapter should designate one Delegation Chair who will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the convention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credentialing delegates
- Roll Call
- Vote allocation
- Communication with Convention Leadership
- Operational questions during convention
Chapter Rechartering
All chartered chapters must complete the annual rechartering process prior to convention.
Rechartering Packet Must Include:
- Updated membership roster
- Current officer information
- Chapter election information
- Required documentation
- Additional requested materials
Failure to complete rechartering by August 7, 2026 may affect your chapter's credentialing and voting privileges at convention.
Per the Young Democrats of Georgia Bylaws, individuals may qualify as At-Large members only if they reside in a county without a chartered YDG chapter or attend a school without a chartered Young Democrats chapter.
Bylaws, Platform, Resolutions & Elections
Deadline: August 7, 2026Convention committees play an essential role in conducting the official business of the Young Democrats of Georgia.
All committee proceedings will follow the Young Democrats of Georgia Bylaws and Robert's Rules of Order.
